Pregnancy Consulting

Your pregnancy journey is more than a series of appointments or test results. It is a life transition that unfolds physically, emotionally, and often spiritually. Yet many expectant parents find themselves sorting through conflicting information, rushed visits, and decisions that feel overwhelming or unclear.

Our Virtual Pregnancy Journey Consulting service was created to offer something steadier and more personal. It provides experienced midwifery guidance that centers your questions, your values, and your autonomy. This is a relationship-based consulting experience with a Certified Nurse Midwife who walks alongside you through pregnancy. We offer education, perspective, and support as you navigate your care.

This is not prenatal care. It is thoughtful, evidence-informed guidance rooted in deep respect for your right to make informed decisions. This way, you can move through pregnancy with clarity, confidence, and trust in yourself.

What’s Included in Our Virtual Pregnancy Journey Consulting

This journey is intentionally designed to feel spacious, supportive, and deeply informed so you are not left alone to interpret information or prepare for important conversations.

Comprehensive Pregnancy Consulting

A series of virtual sessions that span pregnancy and adapt as your needs change. Should in-person consultations be something of interest, we are happy to explore that option with you.

Foundational Intake Session

A thorough review of your medical, obstetric, family, and emotional history, prior pregnancy or birth experiences, and your goals for this pregnancy.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Review

Individualized discussion of nutrition, supplements, hydration, movement, and daily rhythms, grounded in pregnancy-specific needs and real life.

Risk Assessment and Ongoing Perspective

Identification of both modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors. This includes ongoing reassessment as pregnancy unfolds and circumstances shift.

Lab and Ultrasound Review

Clear, plain-language explanations of prenatal labs, genetic screening, and imaging. This includes what results mean, what they do not mean, and what questions you may want to ask next.

Gestational-Age-Appropriate Education

Education tailored to where you are in pregnancy, covering physiologic changes, common interventions, and alternatives. This includes navigating informed consent and refusal, as well as preparing for labor, birth, and the postpartum period.

We Are Your Advocacy Coach and Decision Support

Advocacy coaching is a central part of this work. Many people know what they feel but struggle to voice it, especially in medical settings. This support focuses on helping you prepare for provider conversations, consultations, and high-stakes decision points.

This may include values clarification, role-play, and guidance on how to ask clear, effective questions, so your voice stays present and respected.

What to Expect from Virtual Pregnancy Journey Consulting

Virtual Pregnancy Journey Consulting offers educational and consultative support throughout pregnancy. This work is designed to help you understand your options, interpret medical information, and prepare for meaningful conversations with your care providers.

The focus is on clarity, confidence, and informed decision-making, with your values and priorities remaining central at every stage.

This service does not provide prenatal or medical care and does not include diagnosis, treatment, emergency support, or labor management. It is not a replacement for care with a midwife, physician, or other licensed medical provider. Instead, it serves as a complementary layer of guidance and perspective.

Clients either continue with a primary maternity care provider or knowingly choose not to. In all cases, the client remains the ultimate decision-maker and assumes responsibility for all healthcare decisions and outcomes.
