Midwife360 began in 2014 and quickly became a staple to women’s care in the South Florida community. Founded by P. Fadwah Halaby CNM, Midwife360 is a holistic evidence based practice for midwifery services such as routine women’s care, family planning, pregnancy care and birthing.

Our practice was created by our passion for traditional care methods and combining them with modern medicine. We bring together a practice based on deep connection between provider and patient, individual needs and true healing.

Fadwah has given birth six times at home and raised 5 more children over the years through her rich blended family experiences. She has lived in the mountains of Colorado and also enjoys the sunny lifestyle of South Florida. She is a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Midwifery (CNM). She has a BS with an emphasis in Nutrition from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. In the 1980’s and 90’s she studied childbirth education and then received homebirth training in Colorado.  Her certificate in Nurse-Midwifery is from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, 2005 (now Frontier Nursing University).

Along the way, she worked in several Emergency Rooms and Labor and Delivery units. Once she completed midwifery school, she worked for a very busy, local OB/GYN group of 5 midwives and 4 MDs. She assisted over 1600 women to give birth at 2 hospitals in Palm Beach County and frequently saw over 500 women in the office every month. It is her intimacy with the medical model of care that makes her such a great choice for birth at home. She is confident that when supported in a physiologic manner, pregnant people will birth gracefully, with freedom into the loving embrace of their families.

Lauren Danella Midwife360 Palm Beach Midwife
LAUREN DANELLA, Certified nurse Midwife
Lauren’s love for children is her inspiration as a midwife. She wants all children to feel safe and loved from the very beginning. In 2001, she was a founding member of a holistic orphanage, yoga and meditation center, where neglected and abused children healed from their traumatic beginnings. She often wondered if it was possible to prevent the trauma instead of helping to heal it. Once she discovered gentle midwifery care and learned of the bonding and loving attachment that occurs in the first hour of life, she became an advocate for natural childbirth in its simplest form.

Lauren is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a dual Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  She has worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, and as a Pediatric Nurse for orphaned children with complicated medical conditions. She studied the art of natural childbirth with the midwives of Bali, Indonesia with whom she lived and worked with for over a year. She also mentored with P Fadwah Halaby at Midwife360, who she greatly admires, for about two years.  Lauren connects deeply with the women she cares for and is dedicated to bringing gentle midwifery care to the families of South Florida.
Joanna bronkema, Certified Nurse Midwife, NP

Joanna Bronkema is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Nurse Practitioner offering holistic healthcare to women & LGBTQI people in their conception, pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and all stages of reproductive health, specializing in homebirth. She began her career as an environmental biologist, but soon discovered the work that needed to be done to restore the rights of childbearing people. So, she became a doula and attended births in homes, birth centers and hospitals in California and rural Guatemala, and then went back to school at the University of California San Francisco to receive her RN, CNM, and NP degrees, after which she completed training in Functional Medicine at the Institute for Functional Medicine. Joanna has experience in hospital, birth center, and community/home birth settings and offers both alternative/complementary and herbal treatments as well as conventional allopathic (“Western”) prescriptions & procedures, combining the best of both worlds. As a former research scientist, Joanna is proud to offer truly evidence-based care. Her birth philosophy is that women are strong and birth is natural and beautiful. Incorporating the 6 Naturopathic Principles in her care, she has found that often the least interventive course of treatment is also the best one for long term wellness. Joanna sees her main as a guardian of health and safety for mother and baby while facilitating a mom-to-be to discover her own strength, knowledge, and internal beauty in labor and birth so that she and her family can embrace an empowering childbirth experience without fear, no matter where it may lead them. Gina Connor Doula
Gina Conner, Certified Doula (DONA) La Leche League International Leader
Gina Conner grew up visiting her mother who worked as a nurse in Labor and Delivery. However, she was a certified midwife in Germany a few years prior. These visits planted a seed that would one day bloom into a passion to serve women during childbirth. The seed sprouted in 2008, the day the first of her two daughters was born in March 2008. A baby girl was born surrounded by the love of her family, midwives, and a doula. Gina knew that day she would become a doula herself.

Gina is an advocate both for water birth and hydrotherapy for labor. One of her passions is birth photography. She is gifted in capturing these special moments that will last a lifetime. In addition to birth services, Gina provides knowledgeable and compassionate postpartum care. Her passion for babies, breastfeeding and cooking vegetarian meals can make the transition into parenthood a smoother process. She also provides placenta encapsulation, birth art, belly binding and breastfeeding counseling. Her dream is to one day (when her own children are a little older) become a midwife.
